Who we are

The Couponly service is operated by , a private limited company registered in the Estonian Commercial Register under registry code , registered address , , , , Estonia. VAT number .

You can reach us at [email protected] or through the contact page. That email address is also our single electronic point of contact for users and for authorities under the EU Digital Services Act — you always reach us directly by email; there is no chatbot to get past. You and authorities can communicate with us in English or Estonian.

Couponly is free of charge. We may earn affiliate commissions from merchants when you use our coupons or links — how that works is explained in How we make money below.

These terms and what they cover

By using Couponly you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What "the service" means. These terms cover the couponly.ai website, the Couponly browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, and other browsers where we list it (such as Microsoft Edge), the emails we send in connection with your account and subscriptions (deal alerts, price-drop and restock alerts, and digests), and our mobile apps for iOS and Android.

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Read them — they explain in detail what the site and extension send and store.

Who can use Couponly

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or subscribe to alerts. If the law where you live sets a higher age for consenting to online services (up to 16 in some EEA countries), that higher age applies instead. Couponly is not directed at children.

You must be able to enter into a binding agreement, and you may use the service only for personal, non-commercial purposes (merchants may use the correction and complaint channels described below). One account per person — do not create accounts for someone else or transfer yours.

The service

Couponly finds promo codes and coupons using AI and community signals. The website lists coupons, store guides, and product price history across more than 30,000 stores; the extension can try codes at checkout on supported stores and show you what a code actually did.

Coupons are the merchant's, not ours. Codes are collected automatically from publicly available sources and by our own systems, and refreshed regularly — but availability, eligibility, and discount amounts are decided by the merchant alone and can change or expire at any moment. We do not guarantee that any code will work for your order. Labels such as "verified" reflect what our automated systems recently observed — for example, that a code was recently seen available or was reported working by other shoppers — they are a freshness signal, not a guarantee.

We are not the seller. When you buy something, your contract is with the merchant. The merchant handles payment, delivery, returns, and warranty — Couponly is not a party to that purchase.

Features change. We ship often. Features may be added, changed, labeled experimental, or removed; experimental features are provided as-is and may disappear without notice.

Price history and product data

Product pages show prices and price history assembled from automated crawling of merchant pages and from anonymous crowd signals contributed by extension users. That data is inherently approximate:

• Prices may be stale, wrong, or specific to a region, currency, or variant other than yours.
• Price history reflects prices our systems observed, not official merchant reference prices.
• Savings figures derived from price history, and "price drop" notifications, are estimates based on recently observed data. (The lifetime-savings total the extension shows you is not an estimate — it reflects only checkout savings the extension actually measured, as the Privacy Policy describes.)
• We may correct or exclude erroneous observations at any time, without notice.

Always check the current price on the merchant's site before you buy. Price history is informational only — it is not a price guarantee, a lowest-price claim, or financial advice.

AI-assisted content

Some content on Couponly is generated with AI assistance: store guides and policy summaries (built from the store's own published pages), normalized coupon conditions, product descriptions, and store classifications. Store guides, policy summaries, and product descriptions pass automated grounding checks — for example, stated numbers must be traceable to the store's own pages — but AI-assisted content can still contain errors or go stale.

If you spot something wrong, tell us via the contact page and we will correct it. Merchants can request corrections the same way.

How we make money

Couponly may earn a commission from a merchant or its affiliate network when you shop using our coupons or links. This never costs you anything: you never pay more because we earned a commission — if a coupon or link changes your price at all, it lowers it. Commissions also do not influence whether a code is shown as working or how offers are ordered. Ordering is driven only by freshness (how recently our systems observed an offer), measured success rates (how often a code actually worked for shoppers who tried it), and — for product offers — price; merchants cannot pay for placement.

How affiliate attribution works. Where we have an affiliate relationship with a merchant, credit is attributed to Couponly only when you actively use one of our codes or click one of our links — never from passive browsing. And we respect other people's referrals: if an affiliate attribution is already attached to your visit — for example, a creator's link you followed to the store — we do not overwrite it just because Couponly is installed. We claim credit only where Couponly itself delivered the benefit, such as a working discount. What data (if any) travels with an outbound click is always described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which we keep current as affiliate partnerships come and go.

Accounts

Accounts are optional — most of Couponly works without one. An email address is needed only for accounts and email alerts.

If you create an account, keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account unless it results from unauthorized use you did not enable — and never for activity occurring after you notified us of the unauthorized use. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect your account has been compromised.

Closing your account. You can delete your account at any time, free of charge, from your account settings. Deletion removes your profile, watched products, and the deal-alert subscriptions under your verified email address, and detaches your name from any reviews you left. You can download a copy of your data first — see the Privacy Policy.

EU withdrawal right. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you may withdraw from this contract within 14 days of creating an account, without giving a reason — email [email protected] or simply delete your account. You may (but need not) use the model withdrawal form in Annex I(B) of Directive 2011/83/EU. Couponly is free, so withdrawing costs nothing.

Acceptable use

To keep the service fair and the data trustworthy, you agree not to:

• Misuse, disrupt, overload, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
• Scrape, crawl, bulk-download, resell, or republish our coupon, price, product, or store database, or access our APIs by any means other than the website, extension, and apps we ship.
• Evade rate limits, rotate hosts or accounts to get around blocks, or otherwise automate access we have restricted.
• Submit automated, forged, or artificially inflated signals — fake coupon-apply outcomes, product or price reports, store requests, deal-alert sign-ups, or reviews — or otherwise try to skew our crowd-sourced data.
• Generate codes fraudulently or knowingly use personal or single-use codes that belong to someone else.
• Sign up someone else's email address for alerts, or use the service to send unsolicited or abusive messages.
• Create more than one account per person, or sell, share, or transfer an account.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of export-control or sanctions rules that apply to you.

We rate-limit and de-duplicate contributions and may block hosts or accounts that abuse these provisions. Breaching this section is grounds for suspension or termination (see Suspension and termination) and may make you liable for the damage caused.

Your license to the extension and apps

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the Couponly extension and mobile apps for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the software, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it (for example, EU rules on interoperability and error correction, which nothing in these terms overrides). We may ship updates that install automatically through your browser or app store.

For app-store copies of our mobile apps, the following applies: these terms are concluded between you and , not with Apple or Google; Apple, Google, and their subsidiaries may enforce this section as third-party beneficiaries. Your license is limited to devices you own or control, as the store's usage rules allow. We — not Apple or Google — are responsible for the app and for its maintenance and support, and claims about the app — product, IP, or legal — are our responsibility, not theirs. If an app fails to conform to a warranty, you may notify the store operator for a refund of the (zero) purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, the store operators have no other warranty obligation.

Reviews and content you submit

Signed-in users can post store reviews. Write about your own experience, keep it lawful and civil, and do not post spam, advertising, other people's personal data, or content you have no right to share.

An honest note on verification. Reviews can only be posted from a real signed-in account and must pass automated spam and rate-limit checks. Unless a review is explicitly marked as verified, we make no claim that the reviewer purchased from the store.

License. By submitting a review or other content, you confirm you have the rights needed to grant this license, and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, moderate, and adapt it as part of operating the service. This content license survives account deletion so reviews stay useful to others — but your name is detached from your reviews when you delete your account, and your personal-data rights under the Privacy Policy are unaffected.

Moderation. We moderate with automated filters (spam and abuse heuristics, rate limits) and human review, and we may remove or demote content that breaks these rules or the law, as well as content that is off-topic, outdated, or duplicative. If we remove your content or restrict your account, we will tell you the specific reason and how to contest the decision — reply or write via the contact page and a human will re-review it. Anyone can report content they believe is illegal through the channel in Reporting content and IP complaints.

Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or compensation — and we genuinely read them.

Merchants, trademarks, and how we gather data

Store names and logos belong to their owners. The trademarks, names, and logos shown on Couponly — including the monochrome and dark-mode renderings we derive for visual consistency — remain the property of their respective owners. We use them solely to identify the merchant and its offers. Listing a store on Couponly is identification, not endorsement, and implies no affiliation, sponsorship, or approval in either direction.

Merchants are independent. We are not responsible for a merchant's products, pricing, fulfillment, returns, or changes to its coupon program.

How we gather data. Our systems automatically collect publicly accessible pages — primarily via merchant-published sitemaps — along with publicly distributed coupon codes and signals contributed by our users, and republish that information in condensed form. Merchants can ask us to correct data, remove a logo, display their name as text only, stop collection from their site, or delist the store entirely through the channel below. See also the merchant section of our Privacy Policy.

Reporting content and IP complaints

One channel handles copyright, trademark, and database-right complaints, requests to remove personal or single-use coupon codes, merchant data corrections and opt-outs, and reports of illegal user content (for example, a defamatory review): email [email protected] with the subject "Content complaint".

So we can act quickly, include:

• What right or law is at issue, and who you are (name and email address).
• The exact Couponly URLs where the material appears.
• An explanation of why the material is infringing or illegal, substantiated enough for us to assess it.
• A good-faith statement that your notice is accurate — and, for IP claims, a statement under penalty of perjury that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them, plus your physical or electronic signature.

What we do. We confirm receipt, handle notices promptly, diligently, and without discrimination, and reply with a reasoned decision: what we did, why, whether automated tools were involved, and how to contest it. Logo-removal and name-only-display requests from mark owners are handled on an expedited basis.

For user-submitted content, the author is notified and may submit a counter-notice. If the counter-notice checks out and the complainant does not tell us within 10–14 business days that they have sought a court order, we may restore the content. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. Knowingly false notices may make the sender liable for the resulting damage.

Our intellectual property and database rights

The Couponly software, design, editorial content, and the selection, verification, and arrangement of our coupon, store, and product catalog are protected by copyright and by the EU sui generis database right (Directive 96/9/EC). We do not claim ownership of individual coupon codes — a code is a fact — but extracting or re-using substantial parts of our database is prohibited both by that right and by these terms.

Third-party links

Coupon links, store links, and social links lead to third-party sites we do not control. Those sites have their own terms, privacy policies, and cookies — including, where a merchant participates in an affiliate network, attribution cookies that the merchant or its network may set on their own domains. We are not responsible for third-party content or practices.

Suspension and termination

By you. Stop using the service, uninstall the extension, or delete your account at any time, free of charge.

By us, for cause. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you materially breach these terms — in particular Acceptable use — submit fraudulent signals or reviews, repeatedly infringe others' rights, create a security or legal risk, or where the law requires it. We act proportionately: where a warning or a limited measure (such as removing one review or rate-limiting one host) is enough, we prefer it over termination.

By us, for convenience. We may close accounts or discontinue the service with at least 30 days' notice.

If we suspend or terminate your account, we will tell you the specific reason and how to contest it. On termination your license ends and your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy — export your data first if you want a copy.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Couponly is free, and we provide it with reasonable skill and care — but we cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any coupon will work, or that any displayed price or savings estimate is accurate.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages — such as a missed discount, an expired code, a purchase decision made on stale price data, or lost profits — and for ordinary negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to damage that was foreseeable when you started using the service.

What we never exclude. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for intent or gross negligence or for anything that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you. If a court finds part of this section unenforceable, the rest still applies to the fullest permitted extent.

Your statutory rights and complaints

If you are a consumer, these terms never take away rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived by contract. Even though Couponly is free of charge, EU digital-content rules (Directive (EU) 2019/770) can still apply to the account features you use, and the conformity rights they give you are unaffected.

Complaints. Email [email protected] — we will respond within 15 days. (Requests about your personal data follow the Privacy Policy's GDPR timeline instead: within one month, usually much faster.) If we cannot resolve a dispute and you are a consumer in Estonia, you can turn to the Consumer Disputes Committee at the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority. Consumers elsewhere in the EU can use the alternative-dispute-resolution body in their own country.

Governing law and where disputes go

These terms are governed by Estonian law. If you are a consumer, you additionally keep the protection of any mandatory rules of the country where you live — choosing Estonian law never deprives you of those.

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you may bring a claim against us either in Estonia or in the courts of the country where you live, and we will bring any claim against you only in the country where you live. For merchants and other business users, the Estonian courts have exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms, and the final provisions

Changes. We change these terms only for good reason: changes in the law, new or changed features, security, or abuse prevention. If you do not accept a change, you can stop using the service and delete your account free of charge. The current version, with its updated date, always lives at couponly.ai/terms/.

Severability. If any provision turns out to be invalid, the rest remains in force, and the invalid provision is replaced by what the law provides.

Assignment. We may transfer this agreement to a successor of the business, with notice to you and without reducing your rights; you may not transfer your account or this agreement to anyone else.

Entire agreement. These terms, together with the documents they reference, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If we do not enforce a provision for a while, we have not waived it.
