Yes, U-Haul offers free standard shipping on qualifying orders of $50 (USD) or more shipped within the contiguous U.S., or $100 (CAD) or more shipped within Canada.
Does U-Haul have a 1-year price lock on storage?
Yes, the U-Haul 1-year price lock keeps your monthly storage rent the same for your first 12 months, starting on your contract start date. It applies only to rent, not to optional SafeStor insurance or late-payment fees.
Does U-Haul Self-Storage charge a deposit or admin fee?
Under the U-Haul $0 to Start! offer there is no deposit or admin fee at participating locations. Owned-and-managed U-Haul locations do not charge administrative fees or security deposits, so your move-in cost is your first month's rent.
Can I use a U-Haul gift certificate for self-storage and moving help?
Yes, U-Haul gift certificates can be used on truck and trailer rentals, self-storage, moving supplies and Moving Help. A credit card is swiped at dispatch as a security hold only for In-Town rentals and for pick-ups and vans.
Can I return unused U-Haul boxes for a refund?
Yes, any unused U-Haul box can be bought back with receipt at any U-Haul center nationwide.
What happens if I return U-Haul equipment late?
Failing to return equipment by the Rental Due Date and Time in your contract may result in additional charges for extra Rental Periods, on top of the Estimated Charges.
