5 questions people actually ask us.
Only one Omio voucher can be applied to a single booking, regardless of the number of passengers or train segments in it. Each voucher can generally be used only once.
No, once a voucher has been used, its value is not refunded or reinstated, even if the booking is changed or cancelled. Any refund is calculated only on the amount you actually paid, subject to Trenitalia's fare rules and Omio's processing fees.
You lose the value of the voucher, and any change costs such as a price difference or change fee are based only on the amount you actually paid. Switching to a different train on the same route may require paying the difference between the full price and the discounted amount you paid, plus any Trenitalia penalty.
No, the right of withdrawal under the EU Distance Selling Directive does not apply once an Omio Trenitalia voucher booking is confirmed, because the ticket is for transport with a specific performance date.
Trenitalia's rules on ticket transferability are generally very limited or not permitted, and an Omio voucher does not change them. The passenger named on the ticket should generally be the person travelling and may be asked to show identification.
